Support

In case of problems, as well as for questions and suggestions, there are two main support channels. Before asking, you may also want to check the Troubleshooting page — your issue may already have a known solution.

CERN Mattermost channel

Join the Purdue AF support channel on CERN Mattermost (CERN login required). This is the fastest way to reach both the admins and other users.

Purdue AF mailing list

Send a message to the following address: cms-af@groups.purdue.edu.

This mailing list is also used for important announcements and alerts about new features.

Subscribing to the mailing list

Users with a Purdue email can subscribe by managing their group membership at the Microsoft Exchange admin center:

  1. Log in with your Purdue career account.
  2. Click "groups" in the sidebar.
  3. Under the section "Groups I belong to", click on the "Join..." icon.
  4. Search for cms-af.
  5. Select "Purdue CMS Analysis Facility" and click "Join group".

Unsubscribing from the mailing list is managed via the same portal.

What to include in a support request

To help us resolve your issue quickly, please include:

  • your AF username and the login method you used (Purdue / CERN / FNAL);
  • the approximate time when the problem occurred;
  • what you were trying to do, and the full text of any error messages.
